Here is a picture of our tent and Dick’s plane at the Festival D’Avion Saturday April 13th at the Moore County Airport. We volunteered at the event to help celebrate flight and freedom. The five branches of the Military were recognized with static aircraft exhibits honoring the men and women who currently serve in the armed forces and those who have retired from military service.

Dick is a volunteer pilot for Young Eagles, a program with the Experimental Aircraft Association. Launched in 1992, the Young Eagles program has dedicated more than 25 years to giving youth ages 8–17 their first free ride in an airplane.

It’s the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation. Dick will also be participating in the next Young Eagles Flight on Saturday, May 4 so let us know if your child or teen wants fly for free. It is the best way to see our beautiful area and appreciate a bird’s-eye view.
